Never thought AI could find its way in Agriculture

Image
A better agriculture thanks to AI? AI killer or healer?  For thousands of year, men have been relying on agriculture to live, which has proved to be risky, as it relies on things we cannot control (weather, wars, political situation, etc.). What if AI could help us increase agriculture's returns and improve it's reliability? AI computers can process billions of data points and turn them into a coherent set of information, which will help them predict future behaviours or probability that an event happens. In farms, these data points are produced daily but not taken into account by farmers because it is too much. With AI, farmers could deal with- and analyse a wide variety of data in real-time, such as weather, temperature, water usage, and soil condition. All this data directly collected from their own farm to adequately inform their decisions. 1- How AI can help with pest control A company called Agrosmart is developing a technology that w

EAI in the medical sector

EAI in the medical sector In this post we will explain how EAI can solve communication issues with autistic children. To do that, we must first understand what Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is and how it affects the people that live with it. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), 1 in 160 children has an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). As some of you may know, ASD is a developmental disorder that affects communication and behaviour in children as young as 2 months old. The biggest challenge for people, especially kids, diagnosed with ASD is to associate facial expressions with emotions. For instance, a child with ASD can have a hard time determining whether a person is happy or upset when solely relying on facial expressions. This limits his ability to participate in society because he can’t visually interpret what people are feeling and doesn’t know what facial expressions he should make to tell people what his emotions are. Netflix playing with your emotions?

Today, we will talk about use of emotions AI in Netflix. Netflix is an amazing platform with so many movies and shows for all age groups. From children to adults, it has content for everyone. Out of every show, my favorite is how i met your mother. It is a sitcom with a run time of average 22 mins per episode. There are 9 seasons in the series. The protagonists are Ted, Marshall, Barney, Robin, and lily. Marshal and lily are dating since a long time and plan to get married soon. Barney is a single hunk. He keeps on hitting on girls and does the weirdest stuff on this planet. He is very funny and his dialogue delivery is insane. ted is the sweet kid of the show. He is like that perfect combination of cute and loyal. He loyally loves Robin for years and then lets her go for her own sake and happiness. Marshall is another character who is pursuing law in the show. He is dating lily. Marshall is kind of brainless but also very funny. Robin!! Robin is the most perfect a girl could

Hotel or Botel?

Artificial Intelligence: Hotel to Botel? Deloitte estimated the size of the global travel and tourism industry at around $1.6 trillion in 2017, accounting for 10.4% of the world’s gross domestic product. A study by Nielsen showed that millennials are more likely to travel than other generations. They also have a desire to customize their travels which is where AI comes in. Artificial Intelligence is used in numerous industries ranging from agriculture to healthcare. Equally exciting, AI has an increasingly important role in the Hospitality industry. Can you imagine having an intelligent robot at your disposal, 24/7, when traveling? AI in hospitality is becoming more appealing to hotel owners and investors for financial reasons. Not only is it cheaper in the long run, but it gives customers a personalized and exciting experience. An intelligent robot would also provide higher quality service as it removes the human error and adapts to the customer.  Connie,

But this is nothing new to you, right? However, original-equipment-manufacturers, suppliers and start-ups are now increasingly looking to  turn these cameras and sensors into the car  as well. Regulation, insufficient technology and the mere pleasure in driving are just some reasons why stage 5 autonomous driving may still take a while until large scale implementation. For this reason, I want to show you how emotional artificial intelligence can improve the driver safety and enhance your driving experience. Emotions influence your driving behaviour Also nothing new: your emotional state is directly correlated with your driving performance. For ex

AI in HR

Recent studies have demonstrated that businesses have the ability to recruit candidates 85% faster with a 73.53% efficiency increase and a minimal employee turnover. How is this possible? This is possible due to the implementation of EAI tools in the Human Resources Departments (HR). On average, the cost per hire for a company is $4,129, along with a 42 day lag. As a result, this forces companies to optimize human and digital (automated) labor. By doing this, the companies focus on of reducing costs, creating personalized experiences with each employee, increasing efficiency, having shorter recruitment cycles, and minimalizing turnover rates. The recruitment process through EAI reduces timelines and employee turnover rate. Every day, hundreds of individuals apply to numerous positions in a firm. EAI algorithms allow you to go through thousands of CV’s in only nine days, enabling the system to decide the best candidates based on work experience, history, and skills. Addit

Bot doctors: Would you trust a robot psychologist?

Image
Emotions and technology, believe it or not, are now related Do you know someone who suffers from depression? I bet your answer is yes, it can be either a friend, a family member or a friend of a friend. What would you recommend them to do? Go see a psychologist? What is the first thing that comes up to your mind when I say emotions? I might not know your specific answer, but I know you eventually thought about the direct relation in between humans and emotions. Could you imagine a robot that can understand your feelings as the same level of a human? It might sound crazy at a first glance, but thanks to EAI it is now a reality.    The Freudian theory states that psychologists can not get emotionally involved with their patients, due to subjectivity and the temptation to provide personal advice. If we further analyze this, we will come to the conclusion that this trait is normal, as it reflects the natural human instinct of being compassionate. I am not t
